Union County 4th District Commissioner Race
We won! Greg wins election!

(August 31, 2006)
At the time of this writing, I have been a Union County Commissioner for the 4th district for three days. I am a commissioner because the people of the 4th district chose me to be. I will not forget that ever. I thank you all.

I am a representative of Union County, but more specifically, I am the representative for the people of the 4th district. When I ran for office, I ran to protect those things that are important to our community. I ran to defend the values that we hold so dear—the values that make us a community. I ran to fight for those things we need.

The rest of our county shares most of our values and important issues, so many of my efforts will be for our entire population. I hope to make you all proud. I've learned in life that to do the right thing, to get things done, to be effective; you cannot make everyone happy. All that I can do is work my conscience. I will always try to do right.

What is right? "...that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, ...". There are laws that transcend those of man. I will always use these laws as my first reference. The government is by the people for the people—not above the people. If I fail in my actions or thinking, please let me know. I keep an open mind and an open heart. I ask for your help and counsel.

To those that voted for me, I want to express my honor in your confidence in me and offer you a warm thank you. For those that voted otherwise, those that did not vote, and those citizens of other districts, I hope to earn your confidence by representing you well.

Thank You.
