Entering the Race

In March of 2006 with the urging of many, I decided to enter the race for 4th district county commissioner of Union County.

I appeared at the office of Larry Roe of the Union County Election Commission and picked up my petition to be on the ballot. With only two weeks before the turn-in time, I immediately set out to get the required 25 signatures of my fellow 4th district citizens.

The first signature was my dad, Bob Davis, followed by my mom, Sue Davis. I wanted them to be the first.

I waited until April 6th to turn in my petition. I needed 25 signatures to be on the ballot, but obtained 41 signatures of supporters before I ran out of time.

I wish to thank all my supporters for signing my petition and also all those supporters that offered to sign it that did not get the opportunity (because I had to turn it in).
